Dear Dharma Friends,
The Spring Memorial Festival is the season for reverencing our ancestors. For Chinese, it is a traditional festival for expressing our love for parents. To advocate the virtues of gratitude and love for our parents, San Diego Fukienese Association and International Bodhisattva Sangha are planning to conduct The Amitabha Thrice Yearning Spring Memorial Service. With the compassionate blessings of the Triple Gems and the pure merits derive from reciting the Amitabha Sutra, name and mantra, we pray for our ancestors in successive generations, past families, friends, and all karmic creditors to obtain rebirth in the Pure Land of Amitabha Buddha. May our parents of this present life be healthy and gain longevity, the whole family live in peace, our business win prosperity and the community lives in harmony. With this homage to the Buddha, may our body and mind become purified and our spiritual cultivation of merits and wisdom advanced. You and your family are welcome to this service to receive these auspicious blessings.
During the service, there are prayer plaques for blessing and memorial. Moreover, there will be food offerings for beings suffering from hunger in the three lower realms. Please contact us for early plaque reservations to make offerings for merit dedication.
